Puzzle Time Program

Kid Caregivers Puzzle Time Program is in several states!
We are constantly expanding!  OUR GOAL - A Puzzle Time chapter in every state and US Territory!

There is a lot of hard evidence that solving jigsaw puzzles is a beneficial activity for cognitive stimulation.

Here is how our intergenerational Puzzle Time Program works:

1) We recruit a group of student volunteers: middle school, high school, college.

2) We locate a memory care facility,  nursing home, retirement community

3) Each student is paired with an Alzheimer's patient, to jointly solve a highly specialized Alzheimer's jigsaw puzzle.

4) The dementia patients are thrilled, and the students receive community service credit for the civic engagement. (Community service is often a requirement for graduation. Solving puzzles with a "pal" is a fun and rewarding way to earn credit, and benefit the lives of Alzheimer's patients!)

Kid Caregivers is a certifying organization for the Points of Light Presidential Volunteer Service Award  click here to learn more: Presidential Volunteer Service Award
We appreciate our volunteers and believe that they should receive the highest National honors for their service work!

  5. You have to empower your caregiver to stop a situation that he or she can't tolerate, such as throwing food on the floor. But also make sure your caregiver understands that you don't expect your child to be a saint. caregiver certification requirements
